Floating-Drum Gas Holder

The floating-drum gas holder, also known as a biogas pressurestabilization tank or floating-boat biogas pressure device, isspecifically designed for controlling the pressure of biogas in theanaerobic stage of wastewater treatment. This system effectivelybuffers fluctuations in biogas production, ensuring a stable gas supply.


Its core internal component-the floating drum is equipped with aconcrete counterweight on top to achieve precise pressure regulationWhen the working pressure gradually rises to the preset value, thefloating drum slowly ascends along a precisely designed guide rod asthe biogas volume increases.Conversely, when the biogas volumedecreases, the floating drum smoothly descends along the guide rodmaintaining the pressure within the normal operating range of 2-4kPa and ensuring the safety and efficiency of the entire biogasutilization process.


The external structure of the floating-drum gas holder consists of thetank wall, tank roof, vertical ladder, gas inlet and outlet, maintenancemanhole, and level gauge.The internal structure consists of the central column, guide rods.floating drum, gas bag, gas bag pressure strip, and drainage pipe.


     


Operating Key Points:


1. On-site operators shall inspect the gas holder daily to promptly identify any issues.


2. Drain water from the gas holder every day to prevent freezing and blockage of the drain pipe and valve during low winter temperatures.


3. In strong wind conditions, the gas volume should be reduced to prevent the guide rod from rising too high and causing danger.


4. Smoking and open flames are strictly prohibited within the explosion-proof area of the gas holder.


5. Regularly inspect the POM wear-resistant sliding sleeves between the top column and the guide rod; replace them immediately if damaged.


6. Clear warning signs shall be installed near the gas holder ladder, and only inspection or operating personnel are allowed to climb.


7. Pressure relief devices shall be installed on the inlet or outlet pipelines of the gas holder to prevent excessive pressure from damaging the internal membrane.
