The First UASB Reactor :New Materials Wastewater Treatment Project Successfully Completed

Recently, Qingdao Haiyue Membrane Structure Engineering Co., Ltd. announced a significant milestone in the Sichuan Meishan New Materials Wastewater Treatment Project — the first of two 1,000 m³ UASB anaerobic reactors has been successfully completed. This marks an important stage achievement for the project and lays a solid foundation for subsequent system installation and commissioning.

Located in Meishan City, Sichuan Province, this project is one of the region’s key environmental protection initiatives. It aims to enhance the wastewater treatment capacity of the industrial park through the construction of a high-efficiency treatment system, achieving clean production and sustainable development. The project adopts the internationally advanced UASB (Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket) process, which efficiently decomposes organic pollutants under anaerobic conditions and recovers biogas for energy utilization — realizing the dual goals of wastewater purification and resource recovery.

Since the project commenced, the Qingdao Haiyue project team has strictly adhered to construction standards and quality requirements. From civil foundation works and equipment installation to system welding and anti-corrosion treatment, every process has been executed with precision management. Facing a tight schedule and demanding construction tasks, the project team ensured both safety and quality through meticulous organization and scientific coordination, successfully completing the first reactor on time.

At present, the construction of the second 1,000 m³ UASB reactor is progressing steadily and is expected to complete its main structure soon. Once fully operational, the project will significantly enhance the wastewater treatment capacity of the enterprise, promote green development within the Meishan New Materials Industrial Park, and contribute to regional ecological and environmental protection efforts.
