A sludge anaerobic digestion tank collapsed at the Leather Organized Industrial Zone (Tuzla Deri) Wastewater Treatment Plant in Turkey at approximately 4:00 PM local time on April 24.

According to media reports, five people were injured in the accident, including one seriously injured but not in life-threatening condition, and four with minor injuries.
The post-accident priorities are decontamination, controlling the spread of pollution, and conducting an investigation into the incident.
